End of an era and another new arrival
In August, Georgie the horse struggled with a foot abscess, but after treatment, she recovered. In September, a dog named Pickle was rescued and given necessary health care. November saw the heartbreaking loss of Donald the sheep. The sanctuary prepares for winter while seeking support for sheep adoptions and holiday gifts. Read more

A pleasant Summer and new arrivals
In June, unpredictable weather delayed sheep shearing, which was eventually completed in hot conditions. The flock was vaccinated against Bluetongue, and fleeces were sorted for sale, mostly for rugs. New Ouessant sheep joined the sanctuary while preparations began for winter. Caroline expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from donors. Read more

A warm dry Spring makes life much easier
In March, the sanctuary experienced a dry month, allowing sheep to be outside 24/7. Vaccinations were administered, and several animals, including Georgie horse, received veterinary care. Adoption of three feral cats for rodent control was initiated, while ongoing maintenance and preparations for shearing were undertaken. Support through donations is crucial for the sanctuary. Denis
Denis, a Texel lamb born with twisted legs, was bottle-fed and raised indoors after being rejected by his mother. Despite health challenges, he thrived, forming a close bond with his caretaker and another ram. Denis became a beloved character, known for his antics, until his passing in December 2024, leaving lasting memories. Read more

A destructive storm and heartbreaking loss
In December 2025, Storm Darragh caused extensive damage, leaving the sanctuary without power for a week. Despite challenges, including the loss of a beloved sheep named Denis, the team remains resilient, focusing on animal care and recovery. With winter’s end, there’s hope for spring and renewed support for the sanctuary’s needs. Read more

September started loudly with the Rali Ceredigion weekend which saw the FIA European Rally Championship and British Rally Championship roar past the farm and through our village in two stages!
